Home charging

EV charger installers in Pakistan

A home wall-box is where most EV owners do the vast majority of their charging — and it is the cheapest electricity you will ever put in the car. Work out what the job should cost, then find someone to do it properly.

What should this cost?

Nobody publishes installation prices here, so buyers get quoted whatever the day allows. Set your situation and see the realistic range before you ring anyone.

How a good install goes

Four steps. If an installer skips the first one, get another quote.

1

Load assessment

They check what your supply can actually carry — connection rating, breaker sizes and existing load — before quoting anything.

2

Earthing check

An EV wall-box needs a solid earth. This is the step most often skipped, and the one that matters most for safety.

3

Cable run and mounting

Armoured cable from your board to the parking spot, on its own dedicated breaker with an RCD.

4

Test and hand over

A live charge session with your car, earth-fault test, and the unit paired to its app if it has one.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a home EV charger cost to install in Pakistan?

A 7 kW wall-box installation typically runs from around PKR 60,000 to 150,000 depending on the unit, the cable run and whether your supply needs upgrading. Get at least two quotes.

Do I need a special connection?

Most homes can run a 7 kW single-phase wall-box on an existing connection, but the installer should check your load, breaker rating and earthing first. 11 kW and 22 kW units usually need three-phase.

Can I just use a normal socket?

You can, but it's slow — roughly 2–3 kW, so an overnight charge adds limited range. A dedicated wall-box is faster and safer for everyday charging.
