Privacy Policy

ChargePK ("the App") lets you find, plan, book, and pay for EV charging across Pakistan. You can browse the charger map, plan trips, and use the calculators without an account and without giving us any personal information. Some optional features — booking a slot, posting in the community, and notifications — do collect data, and this policy explains exactly what, why, and with whom it is shared.

The short version

• No account or sign-in is required to find and view chargers.
• We do not show ads, use advertising identifiers, or track you across other apps or websites.
• We never collect your card or bank credentials — payments happen inside your own banking app via RAAST.
• The data we do collect is used to run features you choose to use, and to keep the App working reliably.

Information We Collect

Location

With your permission, the App uses your device location to show nearby charging stations, sort them by distance, and power the journey planner and CarPlay experience. Location is used on your device to serve you these results and is not sold or used to advertise to you. You may deny or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings; browsing the map and using the calculators still work without it.

Bookings

When you reserve a charging slot, you provide a name and phone number (and, optionally, your vehicle) so the station can identify and confirm your booking. If the station requires an advance, you may submit a payment reference and a photo of your transfer receipt as proof. This information is stored with your booking and used to manage the reservation and to send you booking-status updates, including via WhatsApp.

Community content

If you post in the EV Community or submit reviews, prices, charger photos, or a charger listing, that content — along with the display name you choose — is stored on our servers and shown to other users. Do not post anything you would not want to be public. Community content is moderated; you can report or block content and users in-app, and objectionable material is removed promptly.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, we store a device identifier and push token so we can deliver alerts such as booking updates and charger status changes. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.

Usage and diagnostics

The App uses Google Firebase to understand how features are used (analytics) and to capture crash and performance diagnostics so we can fix problems. This data is used to improve the App and is not used to advertise to you or to track you across other apps.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above only to provide and operate the App's features — showing nearby chargers, managing bookings, running the community, sending the notifications you asked for, and keeping the App stable and secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Third-Party Services

We share data only as needed to run these features, with:

• Supabase — our backend database and file storage (bookings, community content, charger data).
• Google Firebase — analytics, crash reporting, and push-notification delivery.
• WhatsApp / Meta — delivery of booking-status messages, when you book a slot.
• Apple Maps — map rendering and turn-by-turn navigation.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not use any advertising networks.

Payments

Charging and booking advances are paid through Pakistan's RAAST system inside your own banking or wallet app. ChargePK displays the station owner's RAAST ID, IBAN, or QR so you can transfer directly. We never receive, store, or process your card numbers, bank credentials, or account passwords.

Data Retention and Deletion

Booking and community data is kept for as long as needed to provide the service. You can remove community content using the in-app controls, and you may request deletion of your bookings or posts by emailing [email protected] from the phone number or with the details of the record concerned.

Advertising and Tracking

ChargePK contains no ads and does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA). We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, so the App does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt.

Children's Privacy

ChargePK is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Community features are moderated, and if you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and note the change in the App Store release notes.
