Geely EX2, EX5 and Starray EM-R Price in Pakistan: What to Expect

A green Geely EX2 hatchback and a white Geely EX5 SUV parked together at dusk

Geely's Pakistan lineup has grown to three, and the prices are the only thing left. Bestway Group signed as the exclusive importer in July 2026, units of the EX2 hatchback and the EX5 SUV were spotted here in late September, the Starray EM-R range extender has now joined the reported lineup, and bookings have been indicated before the end of the year. Here is what each car is, and the price each one has to hit.

Prices are not out yet. Bestway has indicated bookings before the end of 2026, and this page will carry the official prices within hours of the announcement. Bookmark it, or get the app and follow the catalogue pages, which update the same day.

Geely EX2 price in Pakistan: what it has to hit

The EX2 is the car Geely sells more of than any other small EV on earth, and the export spec is strong for the class: a 39.4 kWh LFP battery, a 410 km CLTC claim, an 85 kW rear motor and a 9.9 metre turning circle in a proper five seat hatchback. The bracket is already set by the cars on sale today. The JMEV EV3 holds the budget EV floor at PKR 48.99 Lakh and the Kaiyi e-Qute 04 undercuts everything at PKR 39.9 to 46.9 Lakh with a much smaller battery. Land in the 50s and the EX2 becomes the default first electric hatchback in Pakistan. Land much past that and it starts fighting cars a full size up.

Geely EX5 price in Pakistan: the harder fight

The EX5 arrives with more spec than either of the mid size SUVs it will face: 60.22 kWh against the BYD Atto 3's 49.92, 215 hp against 201, a 530 km CLTC claim, 0 to 100 in 6.9 seconds and DC charging around 100 kW. The problem is the money. Every electric SUV it will face is already priced, and the bracket that matters runs under PKR 1 Crore. The ORA 5 sits at PKR 85.99 Lakh and the Atto 3 at about PKR 89.9 Lakh, and the EX5 lands as a CBU import while BYD moves toward local assembly. Anything near the ORA 5's number would be aggressive. Well past the Atto 3's, and the spec sheet has to do all the work.

Geely Starray EM-R: the range extender wildcard

The third car answers a different buyer. The Starray EM-R is a range extended compact SUV: a 160 kW (215 hp) motor drives the front wheels, an 18.4 kWh battery covers a claimed 89 km WLTP of everyday electric running, and a 1.5 litre petrol engine steps in purely as a generator after that, so there is no range anxiety conversation at all. At 4.74 metres on a 2755 mm wheelbase it is the biggest of the three, and the international sheet lists six airbags and 15 ADAS features. Two caveats. These are international figures, with Pakistani specification yet to be confirmed, and earlier local coverage described the car as the Starray EM-i plug in hybrid, so wait for Bestway's own sheet before treating the variant as settled. The tax treatment is also different: under the draft policy, range extenders pay 6 percent sales tax against 1 percent for the EX2 and EX5.

What is confirmed so far

Bestway Group is the exclusive importer, signed July 2026. All three cars arrive fully built from China at first, and EX2 and EX5 units are already in Pakistan. Bestway has also acquired an existing CKD plant in Karachi with local Geely assembly as the stated plan, which is the long game on price. And bookings have been indicated before the end of 2026, after the original third quarter target slipped. Prices, Pakistani specifications, warranty and booking terms are all still open. The draft Auto Policy 2026-31 helps the maths: battery electric cars keep a 1 percent sales tax, the lowest of any powertrain.

Export specification on both cars; Pakistani figures may differ. Full breakdowns live on the EX2 and EX5 catalogue pages, and you can line either up against any rival in the compare tool.

Charging, the part nobody announces

Both cars take CCS2 fast charging and Type 2 AC, which means they work with nearly the entire public network on the live charger map. New to public charging? Start with how EV charging works in Pakistan. The EX5's roughly 100 kW DC rate makes motorway stops short; the EX2's export DC rate is still unpublished, which is one of the Pakistani spec sheet details worth waiting for. Either way, both full catalogue pages, EX2 and EX5, will carry prices, final specs and live charger compatibility the day they are official.

Frequently asked questions

What will the Geely EX2 cost in Pakistan?

Not announced. The EX2's natural rivals set the bracket: the JMEV EV3 holds the budget EV floor at PKR 48.99 Lakh and the Kaiyi e-Qute 04 runs PKR 39.9 to 46.9 Lakh with far less battery and range. The EX2 brings 39.4 kWh and a 410 km CLTC claim, so a price in the 50s would make it the default budget EV; much past that and it collides with bigger cars. This page will carry the official number the day Bestway announces it.

What will the Geely EX5 cost in Pakistan?

Not announced. The EX5 walks into the mid size electric SUV fight: the ORA 5 at PKR 85.99 Lakh and the BYD Atto 3 at about PKR 89.9 Lakh. It out specs both on paper with 60.22 kWh, 215 hp and a 530 km CLTC claim, but it lands as a CBU import, which makes matching their money hard. Anything near the ORA 5's price would be aggressive; well past the Atto 3's and the spec advantage has to carry it.

When can I book a Geely in Pakistan?

Bestway Group, Geely's exclusive importer since July 2026, has indicated bookings before the end of 2026 after the original third quarter target slipped. Cars were spotted in Pakistan in late September. Final launch dates, warranty and booking terms are still unannounced, so treat any booking offer you see today with caution.

What are the specifications of the Geely EX2, EX5 and Starray EM-R?

Export specification, pending Pakistani confirmation. EX2: 39.4 kWh LFP, 410 km CLTC, an 85 kW rear motor and a 9.9 metre turning circle in a 4.1 metre five seat hatchback. EX5: 60.22 kWh LFP, 530 km CLTC, 160 kW front drive, 0 to 100 in 6.9 seconds, DC charging around 100 kW, in a 4.6 metre five seat SUV. Both EVs ride on Geely's GEA platform and take CCS2 fast charging. The Starray EM-R pairs a 160 kW front motor with an 18.4 kWh battery and a 1.5 litre petrol generator: 89 km WLTP electric, about 3 hours AC or 20 minutes DC to charge, six airbags and 15 ADAS features on the international sheet.

Is the Geely EX5 better than the BYD Atto 3?

On paper, yes. The EX5 carries 60.22 kWh against the Atto 3's 49.92, makes 215 hp against 201, and claims 530 km CLTC against the BYD's 410 km NEDC. The Atto 3 answers with an established dealer network, proven resale and local assembly on the way. Until the EX5's price lands, the comparison is a spec sheet against a track record.

How far will the EX2 and EX5 really go on a charge?

Less than the sticker. Both ranges are CLTC figures, the most optimistic test cycle in use, and real mixed driving typically lands 15 to 20 percent below it. Our range converter translates CLTC and NEDC claims into realistic figures. As working numbers, think roughly 330 km for the EX2 and 430 km for the EX5 in normal use.

Where will Geely EX2 and EX5 owners charge in Pakistan?

Anywhere with CCS2, which is nearly the entire public fast charging network ChargePK tracks, plus any Type 2 AC point or a home wallbox overnight. The EX5's roughly 100 kW DC rate keeps motorway stops around half an hour. Check the live charger map for every public option on your routes before you buy.

Will the Geely EX2 and EX5 be assembled in Pakistan?

Not at launch. Both arrive as fully built imports from China, and no local assembly has been announced. That matters for price: CBU duty makes matching locally assembled rivals harder, though the draft Auto Policy 2026-31 keeps battery electric cars at 1 percent sales tax regardless of where they are built.

What is the Geely Starray EM-R?

A range extended (REEV) compact SUV. The electric motor always drives the wheels; the 1.5 litre petrol engine only generates electricity once the 18.4 kWh battery's claimed 89 km WLTP is used up. You charge it like an EV for daily running and fill it with petrol for long trips. International specification; Pakistani features and even the exact variant are yet to be confirmed.

What will the Geely Starray EM-R cost in Pakistan?

Not announced. The bracket is clear though: every range extender SUV on sale in Pakistan today sits between PKR 99.99 Lakh (Deepal S05 REEV) and PKR 124.99 Lakh (iCaur V27). Land at or under the Deepal's number and the Starray instantly matters; note that range extenders pay 6 percent sales tax under the draft policy where the EX2 and EX5 pay 1.
