Every DC Fast Charger in Pakistan, With Prices: The Full 2026 List
As of 28 October 2026, Pakistan has 105 public DC fast charging stations, and this page lists every one of them with its per kWh rate, organised the way drivers actually use them: city by city and corridor by corridor. The data comes straight from the live ChargePK map, the same database behind our app, and we keep this page honest with a dated stamp rather than a vague “updated recently”. Two ground rules: we count stations, not individual guns, and we count only true DC hardware, so AC wallboxes that list a DC style plug do not inflate the number. For AC sites and how public charging works end to end, the complete charging guide covers all 176 stations.
How many DC fast chargers does Pakistan have?
105 stations, and the shape of the network says more than the number. Nearly half, 49 stations, deliver 120 kW or more, which is genuinely quick by any standard. The fastest hardware in the country sits on the M-2: 360 kW units at the Kallar Kahar service areas in both directions, at Sial and at Chakri, faster than any EV sold in Pakistan can actually draw, so the car is the bottleneck, not the charger. The big three cities hold 46 stations between them: Lahore has 18, Karachi 15, and Islamabad 13 with two more in Rawalpindi. The other 59 are the interesting ones, strung along the motorways and the N-5, because they are what turn an EV from a city car into a car.
What does DC fast charging cost in Pakistan?
The national median is Rs 120 per kWh, and most stations sit between Rs 100 and 130. The spread around that tells a story about geography. The cheapest listed site in the country is Rs 70 at Thal Rice Mill in Chowk Azam; city rates cluster near the median because operators compete; and the remote corridor sites that keep long routes alive, Zahir Pir, Sukkur, the Abdul Hakeem toll plaza, charge Rs 200, a premium you pay for being the only option for 150 km. One hotel charger in Nathia Gali lists Rs 500 and earns its outlier status. Four stations have not published a rate, and the tables below say “not published” rather than guessing. In money terms: a 10 to 80 percent session on a 60 kWh car is about 42 kWh, roughly Rs 5,040 at the median and Rs 8,400 at a Rs 200 corridor site. The charging time calculator prices your exact car, and the EV vs petrol calculator shows what even the expensive sites save over fuel.

Each table is sorted cheapest first. Rates are per kWh as published by the operator on the date above; the live map and the free app carry the current figure if anything has changed since.

Where the gaps are
An honest list includes what is missing. Balochistan has zero public DC fast chargers, Quetta included, the largest blank on the map by far. The M-5 south of Multan is the thinnest motorway stretch, carried instead by the N-5 towns, and several of those towns, Bahawalpur, Hyderabad, Sukkur, are single charger cities where one broken unit strands a route. The hill stations work in season but four stations serve the entire Murree and Galiyat tourist load. If you operate a site in any of these gaps, or want to, put it on ChargePK and drivers will find it the day it goes live; if you drive these routes, check station status in the app before committing to a leg, and charging near me finds the closest working gun wherever you are.
From 105 to 3,000: the road ahead
The federal government has told the National Assembly it plans about 3,000 public charging facilities by 2030, with fast chargers every 50 km on the motorways; we unpacked that plan and its math in our analysis of the 3,000 station target. Set against this page, the target means building the entire existing DC network again roughly every six weeks for four years. Whether that happens or not, the direction is right, and the first 40 motorway stations the plan promises would fill exactly the corridor gaps named above. We will keep counting; this page and the policy coverage update as the network does.

How many DC fast charging stations does Pakistan have?
105 as of 28 October 2026, counted from the live ChargePK database. We count stations, not individual guns, and only true DC hardware: AC wallboxes that happen to list a DC style plug are excluded. The count moves as stations open; the ChargePK app and live map always carry the current number.
What does DC fast charging cost per kWh in Pakistan?
Most stations charge Rs 100 to 130 per kWh, and the national median is Rs 120. The cheapest listed site is Rs 70 at Thal Rice Mill in Chowk Azam, remote corridor sites run Rs 200, and one hotel charger in Nathia Gali lists Rs 500. Four stations have not published a rate.
What is the most powerful EV charger in Pakistan?
The 360 kW units at the M-2 motorway service areas: Kallar Kahar north and south bound, Sial north bound and the Chakri CNG station north bound. No EV on sale in Pakistan can draw that much power yet, so in practice the car's own DC limit, typically 70 to 130 kW, sets the speed.
How much does a full DC fast charge cost?
A typical 10 to 80 percent session on a 60 kWh car takes about 42 kWh. At the Rs 120 median that is roughly Rs 5,040; at a Rs 200 corridor site the same session is about Rs 8,400. Cars with smaller packs pay proportionally less, and the ChargePK charging time calculator prices any battery and rate combination.
Which city has the most DC fast chargers?
Lahore leads with 18 DC stations, Karachi has 15, and Islamabad 13 plus 2 more in Rawalpindi. Multan with 6 and Faisalabad with 4 lead the second tier. Our city price guides for Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad cover each one with rates, powers and locations.
Can I drive Lahore to Karachi on DC fast charging?
Yes, and people do it routinely now. The chain runs Lahore, Multan, then the M-5 and N-5 line through Zahir Pir, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur or Khairpur, Moro and Nooriabad into Karachi. The longest legs sit in Sindh, so plan around real stops with the ChargePK journey planner rather than assuming even spacing.
Is there any DC fast charger in Balochistan?
No. As of October 2026 there is not a single public DC fast charger in Balochistan, including Quetta and the N-25. It is the largest blank on Pakistan's charging map, and until that changes, EV travel there means AC charging arranged privately.
Which connector do DC fast chargers in Pakistan use?
CCS2 overwhelmingly, which suits the Chinese and European EVs sold here. A minority of sites add GB/T guns and CHAdeMO is rare. Every ChargePK listing shows the exact guns at each site, and the app can filter the map to the connector your car takes.
Do Pakistan's motorway service areas have EV chargers?
The M-2 is well served, with eight DC sites between Lahore and Islamabad including the 360 kW service area units. The M-1 has Harro and Rashakai, and the M-3/M-4 route has Painsra and the Abdul Hakeem toll plaza. The M-5 south of Multan is the thinnest motorway stretch, which is why the N-5 towns carry that traffic.
Why do some stations not list a price?
Four of the 105 stations have not published a per kWh rate; some are new, some charge per session and some negotiate on site. We mark them as not published rather than guessing. When an operator shares the rate, the listing and the app update immediately.
How current is this list and how do I report a change?
The list is a snapshot of the live ChargePK database dated 28 October 2026. The map and the free app stay current in real time as stations open, close or change rates. If a charger near you is missing or wrong, submit it on chargepk.com and we verify and update, usually within a day.
What is the difference between AC and DC charging?
AC charging feeds the car's onboard charger at 7 to 22 kW and suits overnight or workplace parking. DC fast charging bypasses it and feeds the battery directly at 30 to 360 kW, turning a stop into 30 to 60 minutes. Pakistan has 176 public stations in total; this page lists the 105 DC fast ones, and our charging guide explains the rest.
Who operates the most DC fast chargers in Pakistan?
Hubco Green is the largest DC network with 20 stations, many of them the corridor sites at PSO and Attock pumps on the M-4, M-5 and N-5. Shell Recharge runs 9, Go Green 7, and Orbit Energy and the NHA EV Network 3 each, with the rest split across fuel brands, malls, hotels and independents. No single operator covers the whole country, which is why a live map across all of them matters.
Can I drive Lahore to Islamabad on electric?
Comfortably. The M-2 carries eight DC stations including the 360 kW units at Kallar Kahar and Sial, so even a short range EV crosses with one brief stop and most cars need none. Our Lahore to Islamabad charging guide walks the route stop by stop.
Is there DC fast charging in Peshawar and KPK?
Yes: two stations in Peshawar, 120 kW sites at the Harro rest areas and Hakla on the M-1, the Rashakai service area, and a 90 kW PSO site at Alladhand on the way to Swat. Rates run Rs 100 to 140 per kWh. Coverage ends there; nothing public exists beyond Swat and the Peshawar valley yet.
How long does a DC fast charge take?
Plan 30 to 60 minutes for 10 to 80 percent. The car's own DC limit usually decides, not the charger: a 60 kW car takes about 45 minutes on any unit of 60 kW or more, and a 130 kW capable car can do it in under half an hour on the big M-2 hardware. The charging time calculator gives your exact car's number.
What is the cheapest DC fast charger in Pakistan?
Thal Rice Mill in Chowk Azam at Rs 70 per kWh. The Rs 90 tier covers Shell Recharge Ghazi Road, PSO Girja Chowk and Contra Coffee in Lahore, 9 Star Arcade in Multan and Aziz Light & Solar in Khairpur. City competition keeps the cheapest sites in Lahore and Multan.
Can hybrid cars use DC fast chargers?
Regular hybrids, no; they have no charging port at all. Plug in hybrids only if they carry a DC inlet, which most sold in Pakistan do not; they charge on AC. The exceptions are the newest arrivals, like the GWM Cannon Alpha PHEV with 50 kW DC support. Full EVs are what this network is built for.
Are there EV chargers in Murree and the Galiyat?
Four DC stations serve the hills: one in Murree proper at Rs 125 per kWh, and three around Nathia Gali, Hotel Elites at Rs 130, the Alpine Hotel at Rs 150 and the DoubleTree by Hilton at Rs 500. In snow season demand spikes and queues form, so top up in Islamabad before climbing.
